Jodi has specialised in Family Law since being admitted to the bar in 2005. During this six years, she has been involved in defended hearings in both the Family Court and the High Court.
Jodi has worked in Porirua and Wellington previously, and has a wide range of experience with Family Court matters, including Relationship Property, Care of Children, Domestic Violence and Children and Young Persons.
Previously a member of the Family Court Management Committee, and the District Law Society Family Law Committee, Jodi has a good understanding of how the Court operates behind the scenes, and the wider community factors affecting Family Law clients.
"I chose to specialise in family law because I wanted to offer practical assistance to people going through a difficult period in their lives. Working through separation,a dispute about children's care arrangements, division of property or any other family law matter requires support from others. Friends, family and professionals such as counsellors provide vital emotional support. My role is to provide practical support regarding legal issues, which can be complex and confusing. My goal is to help clients understand and then make informed decisions about legal matters affecting them."
